Biography
Philippe Paquier is emeritus full professor of psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Brussels, and emeritus associate professor of neurolinguistics and aphasiology at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels. He was the former Chair of the Department of Clinical and Cognitive Neuropsychology at ULB-Erasme University Hospital, Brussels. His primary research interests focus on pediatric neurological neurocognitive and speech/language disorders, with special emphasis on (a) the syndrome of cerebellar mutism and related disorders in children, (b) the long-term neurocognitive outcome of childhood brain tumor survivors, (c) epileptic encephalopathies with neurocognitive regression (spike-wave activation during sleep; Landau-Kleffner syndrome).
