Dinh Minh Nhat Pham

My name is Pham Dinh Minh Nhat. I graduated from University of Foreign Language Studies - The University of Danang, Vietnam, majoring in English linguistics. During college years, I regularly participated in academic workshops, clubs and events such as Youth camp ASEAN+3 in Thailand, RMIT Teacher's Talk, English faculty's eloquence contest. Between 2024 and 2026, I collaborated with my lecturer on the research project about the use of Google translate and Online dictionary in Translation courses, where I was responsible for handling the data and summarize the reports. After graduation, I have worked as an EFL teacher for 4 years, teaching English for high-school students and prepare them for the IELTS tests. I was also in charge of contributing to course material development and lesson planning in the English center. From September 2026, I study the Master in Linguistics and Literary Studies at VUB, and enroll in the Talent for Research program with Prof. Dr. An Vande Casteele as my research coach. My academic interests lie in Language education, Pragmatics and Second language acquisition. Through the Talent for Research program, I hope to learn the methodological skills, become a more confident and independent researcher and to apply these skills to my Master’s studies and eventually develop a project that can contribute to language learning and teaching.
