Arman Pakhchanyan

Arman Pakhchanyan obtained a bachelor’s degree in Comic and Concept Art from Leeds Arts University in 2023. During that time, he worked as a volunteer editor, translator and teacher of English to speakers of foreign languages. He then completed a preparatory programme for Linguistics and Literary Studies at the VUB. In the following summer, he participated in the Yerevan Academy for Linguistics and Philosophy, as well as the Leiden Summer School in Languages and Linguistics. In 2025, he enrolled in the master’s programme for Linguistics in English at the VUB and is currently working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rik Vosters. Arman's research interests include historical sociolinguistics, prescriptivism studies, and the history of the Armenian language.
