Anastasia Lada
Biography
Anastasia Lada studied English Language and Literature at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and thereafter she completed her MA in Applied and Theoretical Linguistics at the same university, specializing in cognitive linguistics. She is currently a PhD candidate at Vrije Universiteit Brussel working on Hemispheric differences on brain activation in idiom comprehension. More specifically, she researches possible patterns of right vs. left hemisphere involvement in idiom comprehension in healthy subjects and patients with aphasia. To this purpose, she makes use of the neuromodulation technique of transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS).
